The book was published in 1992. Technical and photographic challenges aside, the whole process of producing the book involved one thing above all: joy. The joy of feeling the wind, the vastness, the rain, the thunderstorm. Joy in being able to develop my love for photography and nature. Despite the 25 kg of large-format camera equipment, walking through the Fens in fog, snow, and freezing cold had an incredible lightness.
Even today, I return again and again and feel deep joy for this magnificent nature on our doorstep.
